You are about to start on the most wonderful journey of your life. Starting your relationship with God as Father is a step of faith. Jesus was offered as the perfect substitution for sin. You see its not about what you have or have not done, its about a relationship with God the Father through His Son.
Understanding Him as Father takes you out of religion and puts you into family. The boundaries of not being able to approach God are off once you have been birthed into the family. In essence, coming into the family is a lot like the very natural birth we all had. I had a mother and a father, and in all areas my life emanated who they were. Others I knew were adopted into a family, and they emanated the family traits they were raised by. The same thing happens to you coming into the family of God. He removes you from one family and births you into another. He becomes your Father and the answer you were looking for. Remember this is not religion, but a family. In this relationship, you begin to have the freedom in your life you have always yearned for. You can approach Jesus and the Father with total assurance they both will give you attention and listen without religious connotations. There is no prerequisite other than receiving the new birth. God just does not love, He is Love. He will go to the uttermost extents to get you into His family. In fact, He already has. He gave His son and all you have to do is believe He is the one. Where most families fall short, God the Father excels producing life in you to become a success in life, relationship, jobs, love, marriage and your future. He has a plan for you in every aspect of your life. He just doesn't love the part of you that goes to church. He loves tall of you, all week long. He wants to be involved with your life and give you an identity the world cannot take away. So come to know Him as Father.
Your salvation is not based on your works either is your way or entrance into heaven. The good news is that Jesus paid the price and bridged the gap between you and the Father long ago. Salvation in simply you coming into right relationship with God and knowing Him as your Father. You don't have to get right to enter into heaven. You have to get born again. Because of Adams transgression in the garden, all humanity inherited spiritual death (separation from God and no consciousness of Him or His ways). This is what keeps a person from heaven not their sin. Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life" (John 14:6). Damnation is real and so is hell. Why go there if you can enjoy His grace and truth.
The new birth is simply you becoming alive to God through your inward man birthed from above (being born again). You don't change, your nature does. You receive the life of God, become a new creation in Christ, and begin walking in Him. If your rich, you need to be born again., If your poor, you need to be born again. If your life is broken from abuses, you need to be born again. If you are Mr. or Mrs. Perfect, you need to be born again. No good conduct gets you into heaven. Your receiving His life as a the sacrifice in redemption for you gets you into heaven. (John 3 and II Corinthians 5)
God I come to you not knowing you as Father. I admit, I am a sinner because of Adam and because spiritual death has reigned in me. I now confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead that I might have life and life more abundantly. I accept Jesus Christ and make Him the Lord And Savior of my life. Amen
