In Him, we move and live and have our being.

As life moves forward and the world's future takes its shape, the church is now called upon for a task that requires character, leadership and a unwavering faith.  Every member of the body of Christ is a living cell of life called to disperse life in the areas which they operate.  You all have occupations, but the occupation you have is not who you are.  It is a piece of your life that has to be balanced with your identity found in Him.  Every cell or person in the body of Christ has the power to affect change in their work life, personal life, family life and other areas that they live.  Affecting change comes by influence.  What influences do you have in these areas of life, not only that but more importantly, who is influencing you?

We, the church, should be at the top of our occupation and the top of influencers within the areas we live and work.  Winning at life is more than what we own.  It is balancing a life purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ and walking into everything He has for us in every dimension that we touch. 

The Father cares where you go to school, what you study, how you talk, and about your occupation.  Your testimony on the work site and in the social arena is what He is looking for.  He is also looking for those who will take the time in fellowship with Him and blend the supernatural relationship they have with Him, so they can affect change in the world around them in a practical way.  We all recognize as soon as people know you are a Christian, you are on stage.  The people in the world want to see your God at work, or they want to disprove God at work in your life.  This should produce humility about you in every area.  Allow yourself to be taught how to excel into maturity and perform in your life, so you affect the people around you.

            The times of Christians reading there bibles on the job while others work twice as hard to fill the gap should be gone.  The time of the Christians leading the race in their occupation should be here. 

            How does all this happen?  Be encouraged the word has a lot to say about us a redeemed people in our professional standing, our calling, and the many areas we have been guaranteed to be winners in life.   We as the church, have the greatest opportunity to use ZOE (the God kind) life skills .  We have a set of the best life skills ever issued.  Better than any college or university.  God wants you educated because if your not, you have a limit here.  "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves" (Mat 10:16).  Both sheeps and doves are very gentle and very vulnerable.

 

            The difference between you or I in the work place is the access to God's wisdom.  He is the answer in every situation.  Another difference is because you are born-again and have access to wisdom, you cannot use venom to kill or wound those around you.   This operation is of the world and would hinder Gods working on your behalf.  The phrase,"what goes around comes around" is fine for people that are not born again.  However, for the people of God, the attitude should be I can stand through whatever comes around even if I did not cause it.

 

Suggestions for maintaining a winning outlook:

• Stay in Prayer

• Listen to God and what He has to say about you

• Stay out of strife and competition

• Let yourself be challenged 

• Don’t take offenses

• Allow vision to exist in your life, and share that place with God (He wants in that area too) 

• Realize redemption and restoration goes past Sunday and spreads into the sphere of your life.

• Do Not avoid conflict:  Handle it correctly (The bible is full of life application on confrontation.)

• Establish a good work ethic.
